Find A Starting Point For Change
A career move, relationship decision or repeated habit can raise a question: what should I do differently? Through change coaching at Lesley Sayers & Associates on the Sunshine Coast, I help you examine your circumstances before discussing your direction. I listen to your account of the situation, reflect what I hear and ask questions about your options.
Change coaching can include behaviour patterns, procrastination, workplace challenges and wider personal and family life decisions. We look at what matters to you and whether a plan needs to be developed or revised. When difficult thoughts or feelings are central to the conversation, ACT coaching offers related ideas about awareness and values-led choices.

Decisions, Habits & Next Steps
Change can involve noticing what is happening, talking through options and reviewing your choices over time.
- Present circumstances: We begin with your account of where you are now. I ask what you want to keep, change or understand more clearly before planning.
- Behaviour patterns & procrastination: A repeated response may affect a goal you care about. We examine what happens around that pattern and which alternatives you want to consider.
- Career & relationship transitions: You may want to review a workplace situation or a change in a personal relationship. The discussion stays focused on decisions within your control.
- Goals & progress reviews: We can identify practical actions, agree how to revisit them and adjust a plan when personal circumstances change. You decide what progress means against your priorities.
How A Change Plan Takes Shape
I begin with a free introductory session to hear what has prompted your enquiry. We discuss the focus you want to explore before considering further sessions. If you decide to continue, I provide a Client Profile covering relevant aspects of your circumstances and explain the client agreement, confidentiality statement and between-session arrangements.
We then examine the story you tell about your current situation, the meaning you give to past events and the choices in front of you. I invite you to examine what you have tried before and why you want a different approach. The questions are practical: where are you now, where would you like to be and what action are you considering? In subsequent sessions, we can return to the plan, discuss what happened and decide whether any part needs revisiting. Sessions generally run 60–75 minutes, with scheduling agreed together.
FAQs
Change coaching can explore career decisions, relationships, procrastination or wider life transitions. The client's own priorities determine which issue is discussed and whether related matters need attention.
The client identifies what they want to examine, while the coach asks questions about the present situation and available choices. A goal can be reviewed if circumstances or priorities change.
The number and frequency of sessions depend on the client's circumstances and agreed coaching arrangements. An introductory discussion can cover how sessions are structured before any ongoing booking is made.
